Who Can Apply?

Before you jump aboard this exciting opportunity, there are some crucial requirements you need to meet. Here’s what you need: 1.

1. Educational Criteria
   A grade 12 certificate or equivalent educational qualification is a must.
2. Age Restriction
   Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
3. Driver’s License
   A valid code 8 driving license for manual transmission vehicles is required.
4. Clean Criminal Record
   Applicants should have no previous criminal records.
5. Medical Fitness
   A medical certificate as evidence of the ability to perform strenuous exercise is required.
6. Firearm Eligibility
   Candidates should not have been declared unfit to possess a firearm as per the Firearm Control Act, 2000 (Act no 60 of 2000), or other relevant laws.
7. Work Flexibility
   A willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays on a 24/7 basis, is essential.
8. Driving and Competency Test
   Applicants will be subjected to driving and competency tests.
9. Citizenship Proof
   A valid South African ID document is needed for proof of citizenship.

How Do You Apply?

How do you successfully submit your application?

Follow these steps:

Applications should be submitted on the new ZB3 form, available from any Public Service Department or online at https://www.gov.za/documents. The form must be fully completed, signed, dated by the applicant, with the reference number indicated.

Accompany the application with a recently updated CV, copies of all qualifications, and ID documents.

Attach 8 copies of the driver’s license and an original medical certificate.

Please note that failing to submit the required documents will result in your application being disqualified.

If successful, candidates must be ready to sign a learnership contract with the Department.

Suitable candidates will undergo a personnel suitability check, including verification of educational qualifications, citizenship, criminal record, and security vetting.

Applications received after the closing date, either posted or hand-submitted, will not be considered.

Only short-listed candidates will receive communication due to the high volume of applications.
