Former Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo is giving Nigerian youths a golden opportunity to leverage his vast experience.

He has kick-started the Innovation to Transform Education Training (ITET) and is calling for applications from the youth of Nigeria.

Although this training program is backed by UNESCO, it only has slots for 50 education innovators.

Prof Yemi Osinbajo formally launched the application process for the Innovation to Transform Education Training (ITET) via his authenticated X (previously Twitter) account on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

ITET: A Joint Venture Between Future Perspectives and UNESCO IESALC

ITET is a joint initiative between Future Perspectives, one of Osinbajo’s projects, and the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO IESALC).

Osinbajo communicated his message to the Nigerian youths who are keen on participating, through social media, saying, “We are thrilled to invite you to apply for our forthcoming Innovation to Transform Education Training – ITET, slated for November 20 to 24, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria.

The deadline for application is September 20, so we urge you to apply as soon as possible and stand a chance to be among the 50 selected young Nigerian education innovators.”

Program Objectives

The main goal of this program, as described by the ex-vice president, is to arm young people with the necessary knowledge and skills to instigate positive alterations within the Nigerian and African educational sectors.

He emphasized, “This holds a significant responsibility and opportunity for Nigerian youth. We anticipate your enthusiasm and dedication.”

Osinbajo also highlighted the program’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, saying, “We’ll select 50 exceptional individuals from varied educational and social backgrounds, showcasing a strong passion for EdTech and a dedication to shaping a better future for our communities.”
