This robust package comprises 14 distinct tools, addressing various aspects, from legal health checks to future-proofing your business.

It is designed to augment an entrepreneur’s understanding of successful green and social business practices.

Program Duration and Features

The 9-week long program seeks to immerse participants in an enterprise education curriculum focused on acquiring essential business knowledge, strategies, and tools.

The aim? To build sustainable businesses that contribute positively to the green and social ecosystem.

Qualifications for Entry

Aspiring entrepreneurs must satisfy certain prerequisites to qualify.

These include a minimum of Tertiary Education, being a founder or co-founder of a business in the green and social space, computer literacy, and accessibility to a digitally enabled device.

FATE Foundation, founded in 2000 by Mr. Fola Adeola, aims to empower aspiring and emerging Nigerian entrepreneurs to start, grow, and scale their businesses.

We are motivated by the strong entrepreneurial culture of Nigerians and provide the requisite business incubation, growth, and accelerator support.

Enrolling in the program confers multiple benefits, including:

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility spans across several sectors including renewable energy, circular economy, climate change, green economy, social enterprise, eco-friendly businesses, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and sustainability development.

Participants should have a business that’s been operational for 1 to 5 years, at least two staff members, and should reside in Ogun, aged between 18-40 years with a minimum educational qualification of tertiary education.

Application Process and Timeline

For residents of Lagos, the call for application commences from May 22, 2023, and ends on June 17, 2023. Screening follows from June 19, 2023, to June 23, 2023.

The program commences from July 5 and ends on August 25, 2023.

For those in Ogun, the call for application begins on June 19, 2023, and concludes on August 5, 2023.

Screening starts from August 7, 2023, to August 15, 2023, while the program runs from August 30 to October 13, 2023.

The application process comprises two stages. In the first stage, applicants are required to complete an application form on the FATE SOAR Platform and upload necessary documents.

These include a profile picture, proof of tertiary education, birth certificate, curriculum vitae, and CAC Document (if registered).

In the second stage, after reviewing applications, 100 candidates will be shortlisted for an interview.

After this, 40 applicants will be admitted to the program in each location.

Thanks to the support of Youth Business International and other partners, the program is free for all successful applicants.

This includes course fees, materials, books, data support, and post-programme support.

However, it’s important to note that this is a hybrid training and applicants must be from the location where they’ve applied for the program.
