Introduction to the Scholarship Scheme

Given the company’s dedication to education and human capital development, it has launched the 2023/2024 Scholarship Scheme.

This initiative aims to promote academic excellence and enhance skill-based education among the youths of the host communities and Delta State.

Scholarship Categories

The scholarship scheme encompasses two award categories:

1. University Community Award – Exclusively for Host Communities
2. University Merit Award – Solely for Delta State Indigenes

The examination date for the scheme will only be communicated to shortlisted candidates.

Also, it’s worth noting that Midwestern reserves the right to select and shortlist candidates for the scholarship.

Eligibility and Requirements

University Community Award

• Scholarship open to 100 & 200 level students.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE including Mathematics & English, achieved in one sitting.
• Applicants must have a JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
• Current University ID Card is required.
• Identification letter signed by Ward Councilor or CACC required.

University Merit Award

• Scholarship open to 200 level students with minimum CGPA 3.5.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE including Mathematics & English, achieved in one sitting.
• Applicants must have a JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
• Current University ID Card is required.
• Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of his/her first year in the University should be 3.5 and above.
• A letter of identification from LGA is necessary.
