About McDonald Fellowships

The MSIF (Multiple Sclerosis International Federation) is a worldwide alliance of organizations dedicated to serving MS patients. We work together on a global scale, mobilize resources, share knowledge, and build networks to achieve essential goals that can only be accomplished through unity. Our federation consists of national MS organizations, their dedicated employees and volunteers, and the MSIF staff, board, and committees.

Our Goal: An MS-Free Planet

Our ultimate aim is a world free from multiple sclerosis. We urgently unite the global community to enhance the well-being and quality of life for all MS patients and ultimately put an end to this disease.

Why is this Relevant?

According to our MS Atlas, over 2.8 million people worldwide are affected by MS. Many of these individuals lack access to essential support and resources, such as healthcare and education. It’s crucial to recognize that scientists worldwide are collaborating to improve MS treatments and, ultimately, find a cure. To achieve this, we work closely with our member organizations worldwide.

How We Operate

The MS International Federation (MSIF) and its member organizations join forces to pool our resources and efforts in a rapidly changing world. Together, we become a stronger team, allowing us to advance scientific progress in MS prevention, treatment, and eradication. Our vision is a society where all MS patients have access to effective therapies.

MSIF offers opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, skill development, and mutual growth. We partner with global health experts and research communities, leveraging our connections with international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and multilateral organizations to advance our shared goals.

We support the formation of new MS organizations and assist them in expanding their reach, ensuring that the entire movement benefits from their contributions and expertise. Together, we can amplify the global movement to address the challenges faced by all MS patients and elevate the priority of MS on the world health agenda.
