We are excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the AUC Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate (TLG) Students Program 2024.

About the Program:

The TLG Program is a collaboration between the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the US Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA/AC). It is designed to support academically qualified and economically deserving students who aspire to pursue graduate studies.

Who Should Apply:

We encourage applications from students with professional qualifications and experience who are eager to expand their knowledge and contribute meaningfully through graduate studies. The program is also dedicated to fostering research to advance emerging leaders.

Program Goals:

The TLG 2024 Program focuses on addressing common challenges in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It offers international students from these areas a unique opportunity to earn a master’s degree at AUC with a scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, students must enroll in one of the approved graduate programs and conduct research on specified topics. The TLG Fellowship covers most expenses for international students participating in the AUC graduate program.

Responsibilities:

Under the TLG Fellowship, students have specific responsibilities to fulfill in order to continue their graduate studies.

9. Master of Arts in Economics in International Development (MA ECID)

If you are, you should check if you meet these requirements to be part of the AUC Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate Students Program:

1. You need to be a citizen of one of the eligible countries mentioned above.
2. You must meet the AUC’s requirements for graduate admission.
3. You should have a strong academic record to qualify for the TLG Fellowship in 2024.
4. You must have a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of at least 3.2 out of 4.0, or an equivalent score.
5. You must be good at both written and spoken English.
6. You should show flexibility, maturity, and leadership potential through your involvement in extracurricular activities, interviews, and recommendations.
7. You must be in financial need to support your graduate studies.

TLG Students Responsibilities:

• 1.    You need to be a full-time student during your entire graduate studies.
• 2.    You should finish your graduate degree within two years.
• 3.    Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2.
• 4.    Be dedicated to your research projects.
• 5.    Successfully complete an academic English writing course provided by TLG.
• 6.    Attend and complete leadership and civic engagement workshops assigned during the program.
• 7.    Participate in TLG graduate student conferences.
• 8.    Commit to all activities within the TLG fellowship program.

Benefits of the AUC Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate Students Program:

1. It will pay for your entire tuition fee.
2. TLG fellows will receive a monthly stipend for their expenses.

• 2.    Updated CV (your resume)
• 3.    Copy of your valid national ID card (for Egyptians) or passport information pages (for non-Egyptians)
• 4.    A scanned copy of a recent official photograph
• 5.    Official transcripts (your academic records)
• 6.    Letters of recommendation (references from people who can vouch for you)
