A collateral benefit would be the enhancement of teachers’ capabilities to deliver these subjects effectively.

The intriguing title of the training is “Digital Skills for All: Bridging the Gender Gap in STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship”.

The Incentives and Structure

What’s in it for the participants? They can elect to focus on either one or two courses – digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

All three topics are pertinent in today’s digital world.

In terms of the training layout, it is designed to span one intense month, with each course taking a specified amount of time:

  • Digital Literacy: 2 weeks
  • Entrepreneurship: 1 week
  • Financial Literacy: 1 week

Participants can tailor their training experience to their interests, although they’re encouraged to sign up for all three courses.

The Rewards and Beyond

What’s the pay-off for completing the courses?

On meeting the requirement of attending at least 60% of the training, participants earn a certificate in Digital Skills, Entrepreneurial Skills, or Financial Literacy.

But there’s more – they also become part of the network of both African Union CIEFFA and ImpactHer.

This association enhances their chances of being invited to fully-funded in-person activities by the African Union CIEFFA. Quite the stepping stone, isn’t it?

Who Can Apply?

The doors are open to individuals of African descent, both male and female.

They must demonstrate an enthusiasm for acquiring the specified skills, portray leadership abilities, and exhibit a commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s education.

Applicants are expected to have access to a stable internet connection and a device such as a laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet.

They should be able to understand one of the training’s languages: English, French, or Portuguese, and hold African citizenship, regardless of their current geographical location.
