Ineligibility for Canada Workers Benefit

You are not eligible for CWB if you:

• Are a full-time student for more than 13 weeks in the year (unless you have an eligible dependent).
• Spent at least 90 days in prison or a similar facility in the year.
• Are a diplomat or a family member working in Canada but not liable to taxes.

Payment Amounts for Canada Workers Benefit

For individuals living alone with an adjusted net income of less than $23,495, the annual CWB is $1,518. This amount decreases as income increases, stopping at $33,015. Eligible individuals will receive 50% of their benefit on July 12, which is $253.

For families with an adjusted net income of less than $26,805, the annual CWB is $2,616. This amount decreases as income increases, stopping at $43,212. Eligible families will receive $436 on July 12.

The disability benefit for individuals living alone with an adjusted net income of less than $33,018 is $737 per year. This means a quarterly payment of about $122.
